How WhatsApp calling pricing works
- Per-minute billing: only business-initiated calls are charged.
- Free inbound: calls your customers start are not billed.
- Volume tiers: higher monthly minutes unlock lower rates, applied progressively.
Cost breakdown by volume tier
| Volume tier (min/mo) | Minutes | Rate | Cost |
|---|
Rates reflect Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform calling rate cards, effective July 1, 2026, in your selected billing currency. Meta bills in six-second pulses (rounded up), so very short calls cost slightly more than a pure per-minute estimate. Figures here are indicative and may vary with Meta's pricing revisions.
Understand WhatsApp Business Calling costs
WhatsApp Business Calling adds voice to the same conversation your customers already use for chat. Meta charges per minute only when your business places the call, and the more minutes you use each month, the lower your per-minute rate becomes.
Per-minute billing
Business-initiated voice calls are billed by the minute at your market's rate. There is no fixed monthly platform fee for calling.
Volume-tier discounts
Rates step down as monthly minutes grow, from the list rate through five lower tiers. Each band's minutes bill at that band's rate.
Inbound calls are free
When a customer calls your business on WhatsApp, that call is not charged. You only pay for calls your team initiates.

WhatsApp Business Calling pricing, answered
WhatsApp Business Calling is billed per minute for business-initiated calls. The rate depends on the destination market and decreases as your monthly call-minute volume moves into higher tiers.
No. Only business-initiated calls are billed. Calls that your customers place to your business are free.
Pricing is progressive, like tax bands. Your first 50,000 monthly minutes bill at the list rate, the next band bills at a lower tier rate, and so on. The minutes within each band are charged at that band's rate, which is why the breakdown shows one row per active tier.
It uses Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform calling rate cards, effective July 1, 2026, across all 16 billing currencies: USD, AED, ARS, AUD, BRL, CLP, COP, EUR, GBP, IDR, INR, MXN, MYR, PEN, SAR and SGD. Your billing currency is set by your WhatsApp Business account; each currency has its own rate card, which you can download as a CSV. Estimates are close but may vary with Meta's pricing revisions.
The calculator applies Meta's published per-market rate card with progressive volume tiering, so it is a close estimate. Final invoiced amounts can differ with rounding, currency conversion, and any Meta pricing updates.
